Timing

This course is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  A lunch break is scheduled from Noon - 1 p.m.to allow students an opportunity to leave the building to purchase lunch.  Students are only permitted to miss 15 minutes of instruction per module. Students missing more than 15 minutes will be disqualified for credit.

Course Overview

Do you have a plan for a successful business? Attend this course and find out the foundational skills of a successful business. Learn to develop your personal brand, set goals for the future, and identify your market niche. You will also learn how to hire the perfect administrative support and promote a professional image in your marketplace.

This course offers 2 hrs Current Industry Issues PLE credit.

•GRI Designee Fee = $35 (those who have already earned the GRI designation who wish to attend more recent classes)
•$25 fee applies for cancellations

Guthrie, Michael
Michael Guthrie is the CEO and Managing Broker of Roy Wheeler Realty in Charlottesville, VA. He joined the company in November of 2005 after Managing real estate companies in Northern Virginia for 22 years. The company now has 6 offices and 110 Realtor Associates. Michael graduated from the University of Virginia in 1975 and received his Masters from UVA in 1976. He has been married to Dottie for 35 years and have three children 32, 30, and 27. Michael served as CAAR’s President in 2009 and was named its Realtor of the Year in 2010. He was also named the Chamber of Commerce Small Business Person of the year in 2010. Michael is a strong supporter of UVa athletics and currently serves on the Christian Study Center and Virginia Association of Realtors. He hosts a weekly radio show, Real Estate Matters on WINA every Saturday morning.
