This class is free to attend if you are also registered for the General Membership Meeting that occurs just prior to the class.  You must by physically present in the meeting room (not available via GoToMeeting) in order to receive CE credit for the class. 

Valuing home energy efficiency is an up-and-coming consumer trend in the real estate market. Both the National Association of REALTORS and the National Association of Home Builders recent customer surveys rank energy efficiency among the Top 5 "Must Haves" for homes. This course will provide a basic background on how and why energy efficiency is important to the health, comfort, and affordability of our housing stock, explains the kinds and benefits of third party certifications and building labeling, and details financial resources homeowners can look to for underwriting costs of energy improvements. This event will alow recommend what opportunities REALTORS have for incorporating energy efficiency improvements/certification into their client relations from both the buyer and seller's perspectives.

This course offers 1 hr Related CE credit.
